Willow Class
Welcome to Willow class. We are a Reception class.
Mrs Bell is the teacher in this class. Mrs Bradley and Mrs Hardy are our teaching assistants.
Summer Term
Useful Information
Our PE day this term is Monday. Please ensure you come to school in outdoor PE kits on this day. Our PE unit for this term is Team games and Athletics. We will be learning how to play as part of a team and practising athletics skills for Sports Day. We will also be learning to move safely and be aware of other people around us.
This half term's learning
In Science we will continue to focus on the seasonal changes and what is happening around us. We will learning about re-cycling and how to care for our environment. We will learn which materials float and sink. We will also learn how to keep ourselves safe while out and about in the woods and in Summer weather.
In phonics we will continue practising reading longer words and compound words and words ending with 'est', 'ed' and 'ing'.
In English our texts this term explore re-cycling, Super heroes, Super me and moving on to new classes.
In Maths we will review building numbers to 20, number patterns, doubles, odds and evens, greater thn, less than, subitising and counting beyond 20. We will learn about building representations of places, representing and visualising mapping and positional language.
In Art and DT we will be making boats and landscapes out of junk and creating family portraits in the style of Eva Armisen.

Friday 3rd July - INSET day - school is closed to pupils.
Thursday 9th July - Open Evening parents welcome to look at children's work.
Friday 10th July - Teddy Bear's Picnic.
Friday 17th July - Willow Class trip to Havenswood.
Thursday 23rd July - last day of term break up for Summer.
